The Christopher Gallery presents Nature's Essence by Jared Clackner. The public is invited to attend an opening reception on Saturday, May 22 from 7 PM. to 10 PM. The exhibition will hang through July 3. All of the paintings included in the show are available for purchase.
Jared Clackner is a plein-air landscape artist. He is inspired by working on location as a way to convey the peace and tranquillity of nature. Jared travels to many parts of the country in pursuit of the perfect landscape. Painting the subtle colors of light and shadow, he simplifies the subject to its most poetic form. The serene environments produced by Jared's thoughtful paint application and strong design invites the viewer to explore the world through his eyes. Jared's paintings have been included in exhibitions all over the United States and he has had several one man shows.
JULY 17 through AUGUST 28
The Christopher Gallery presents Paint The Town Plein-air at World's End in Hingham, Massachusetts. Plein-air is a term used to describe paintings that are done outdoors. The public is invited to watch several New England artists paint the beautiful landscape on Saturday, July 17 from 11 AM. to 4 PM. The event will continue into Saturday evening at The Christopher Gallery, located on Route 3A in Cohasset, just a few short miles from World's End.
The public is invited to attend a casual dress, wine and cheese reception from 7 PM to 10 PM to view the artist's finished work and enjoy the gallery collection. All the paintings will be for sale and admission is free. A portion of the painting sales will be donated to The Trustees of Reservations. The show will hang from July 17 through August 28.
SEPTEMBER 11 through OCTOBER 16
The Christopher Gallery presents the recent works of William Bartlett. The public is invited to attend an opening reception on Saturday, September 11 from 7 PM to 10 PM. The exhibition will hang through October 16. All the paintings included in the show are available for purchase.
William Bartlett paints in the Boston School style of traditional realism. He works mainly in oils and specializes in portraits, landscapes, still life and complex studio pieces. William's sense of visual order and craftsmanship give his paintings a timeless integrity. His paintings hang in several private and corporate collections.
OCTOBER 23 through NOVEMBER 27
The Christopher Gallery presents Two Views-the Works of Timothy Thies & T. A. Charron. The public is invited to attend an opening reception on Saturday, October 23 from 7 PM to 10 PM. The exhibition will hang through November 27. All the paintings included in the show are available for purchase.
Vermont artist, Timothy Thies paints rich, luminous landscapes and still life. He works in oil and pastel, capturing the essence of his subject with an expressive confidence. He is a member of The Pastel Society of America, The Copley Society of Boston and Oil Painters of America.
Massachusetts artist, T.A. Charron works in oil and graphite with a strong emphasis on design. While nationally recognized for his sensitive graphite drawings, his plein-air paintings display the skill of a learned academic. He is a member of The Copley Society of Boston, Oil Painters of America and The Academic Artists Association.
